IPE Contending Theories
Evaluation will be based on 1) your ability to develop a strong thesis (which is your answer to the question), 2) cogent and informative discussion of the debate or background information, 3) well-elaborated supporting arguments and convincing supporting evidence, and 4) good organization, coherence, and persuasiveness, which are traits of a good quality paper. It is strongly recommended that you introduce your thesis statement in the introduction of the paper. 1 Compare and contrast the main assumptions and biases of the three contending theoretical approaches to IPE. Which do you find most persuasive in helping you understand the global political economy and why? Choose an issue of IPE to limit the scope of your inquiry and provide real evidence from various cases to support your arguments.
